Ratu Nemia Dawai Is Head Of Treasury In Ministry Of Economy
Mr Dawai was the Acting Head of Treasury for the last 15 months and displayed excellent leadership and technical capabilities in managing the Government Treasury during one of the worst crisis of our times.

The Ministry of Economy has appointed Ratu Nemia Dawai as the Head of Treasury, a senior executive leadership role within the Ministry.
Mr Dawai has more than 11 years of professional experience in the ministry in areas of debt and cash flow management, treasury operations, preparation of whole of Government financial statements, budget formulation and execution and overall public financial management reforms.
Mr Dawai was the Acting Head of Treasury for the last 15 months and displayed excellent leadership and technical capabilities in managing the Government Treasury during one of the worst crisis of our times. During his career Mr Dawai has held other senior leadership roles within the Ministry of Economy and is also currently a Board Director at the iTaukei Land Trust Board, Unit Trust of Fiji (Trustee Company) Limited and Biosecurity Authority of Fiji. Mr Dawai has a Masters in Professional accounting and finance with first class Honours from Massey University in New Zealand.

He hails from Narewa Village in Nadi and is married with two children
