The Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) has confirmed the resignation of Mosese Rauluni as the head coach of the Vodafone Fijiana XV. This decision came as Rauluni understands that the recent result have not been to the high performance standards he had set for the team. He has opted to return to Australia to be with his family.

“This decision has not been an easy one and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Fijian Drua and Fiji Rugby Union staff, board and players for all their support over the past year. I wish the team and staff all the best for the road to the World Cup,” he said.

FRU chief executive officer Rovereto Nayacalevu said they respect Rauluni’s decision and understand the importance of family.

“We are grateful for his hard work and dedication to Fijian rugby. His leadership will be missed by everyone at FRU and the rugby community,” Nayacalevu said.

Rauluni will complete his contract with FRU after the Vodafone Fijiana XV participation at the WXV 3 in Dubai. Their final game is against Spain at 4.30am on Sunday.
