Re-appointments And New Appointments To The Electoral Commission

On Friday, 20 March 2020 on the advice of the Constitutional Offices Commission, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Fiji made appointments to the following constitutional offices -

Electoral Commission

In accordance with section 75(7) of the Constitution of the Republic of Fiji, and following the expiry of the term of the Electoral Commission, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Fiji has made the following re-appointments to the Electoral Commission:

(a) Mr Suresh Chandra as Chairperson;

(b) Mr Simione Ratabacaca Naiduki as member;

(c) Ms Margot Marie Jenkins as member;

(d) Mr Jawahar Lal as member; and

(e) Ms Kavita Raniga as member.

Furthermore, His Excellency the President has appointed the following new member to the Electoral Commission:

(a) Ms Selina Lee Wah; and

(b) Ms Mere Rodan

Public Service Commission

Also, pursuant to section 125(2) of the Constitution of the Republic of Fiji, and following the expiry of the term of 2 members of the Public Service Commission, His Excellency the President has appointed the following new members to the Public Service Commission:

(a) Mr Mahmood Khan; and

(b) Ms Jenny Seeto.
