Reddy takes helm of nursing college board
Appointment follows the resignation of long-serving chairperson Amraiya Naidu.

Former Minister for Education and Agriculture Mahendra Reddy has been appointed chairperson of the Sangam College of Nursing Board.
Then India Sanmarga Ikya Sangam national president Parveen Bala confirmed the appointment yesterday.
“Mr Reddy was appointed earlier this month after Amraiya Naidu tendered his resignation from the position,” Mr Bala said.

“We are thankful for Mr Naidu’s contribution over many years and wish him well.”
Mr Reddy said he was honoured to be appointed chairperson of the board.
“The college has served Fiji well by producing high-quality graduates in nursing and other health-related fields since 2008,” he said.
“The owners of the college, TISI Sangam, have plans to expand the range of programmes offered not only in Fiji but across the region, and I look forward to helping deliver that vision.”
Mr Bala said TISI Sangam would soon provide details of its expansion plans.
“Sangam has consistently contributed to Fiji’s growth and development, with education and culture remaining key areas of its service,” Mr Reddy said.
“I look forward to providing leadership to the best of my ability.”
