Registrar Of Political Parties Rejects Application From We Unite Fiji Party

The proposed party’s ap­plication was published in the Fiji Sun on February 21, 2022 and although no objections were received, the party failed to meet the minimum signature re­quirements.

The registration ap­plication for the pro­posed We Unite Fiji Party has been rejected by the Registrar of Po­litical Parties Mohammed Saneem.

The listed office hold­ers were president - Ratu Jolame Vosailagi, vice president one – Mere Nase­ka Diligolevu, vice presi­dent two – Subhashni Lata, general secretary – Milinia Vaqa and national treasur­er – Manoa Veremalua.

The proposed party’s ap­plication was published in the Fiji Sun on February 21, 2022 and although no objections were received, the party failed to meet the minimum signature re­quirements.

Mr Saneem said upon ver­ification of the list of mem­bers submitted by the pro­posed party, it was found that it failed to comply with the numbers required for the Central and Northern Divisions.

  • Central Division 2000 members - only 1784 mem­bers submitted,
  • Western Division 1750 members - 2965 members submitted,
  • Northern Division 1000 members – only 846 mem­bers submitted, and
  • Eastern Division 250 members - 259 members submitted.
