The Republic of Fiji Military Force Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto led the RFMF in escorting the body of former Commander of the then Royal Fiji Military Forces late Colonel Paul Manueli from MIOT Pacific Hospitals in Amy Street to Brown Street on February 28, 2019.
A procession for the late Colonel Paul Fanifau Manueli was led by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces in Suva yesterday.
More than 100 members of the military accompanied by the RFMF brass band led the procession from the MIOT Hospital to the end of Brown Street near the Rewa Street roundabout at midday.
The casket containing the body of the late former RFMF Commander was then escorted under military carriage to his residence at Namadi Heights.

A huge crowd had gathered on the streets to witness the procession which is only accorded for high ranking officers in the military.
The late Colonel was the first local Commander of the then Royal Fiji Military Forces.

After the funeral service at Churchwood Chapel, Rewa St, the military will march with the cortege through Suva City to Walu Bay and then to Suva Cemetery for the funeral.
