Revenge Pornography Raises Alarm

Revenge pornography is becoming a serious concern that must be addressed immediately.

Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Lynda Tabuya highlighted this in Parliament yesterday.

Ms Tabuya said revenge pornography often occured when men or boys post sexually explicit images of women or girls online without their permission, especially in situations where couples break up after a romantic relationship.

Ms Tabuya said it has led to the stigmatization of women and girls by families and communities, with emotional consequences lasting for years.
