The price of Rewa Butter has increased from today, following a surge in global supply costs.
The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) confirmed significant price hikes across all Rewa Butter pack sizes.
A 125g (quarter-pound) pack now costs $4, while the 250g size has increased from $7 to $7.94.

The 500g pack has risen from $13.94 to $15.93-marking increases of 13 to 14 per cent.
FCCC said the price adjustment reflects a 16 per cent increase in the landing cost of bulk raw butter, which is imported and used in local production.
"Local butter prices are heavily influenced by the cost of imported raw materials," the commission stated.
It attributed the rising import costs to strong international demand- particularly from China, which recorded an 18 per cent year-on- year increase in dairy imports in late 2024-and drought conditions in New Zealand that have reduced milk yields and tightened global supply.
FCCC warned that butter prices may continue to fluctuate due to ongoing global supply instability.
Since 2021, raw bulk butter prices have shown irregular but upward trends, with the last local price adjustment implemented in July 2024.
The commission said it will continue to monitor the retail market to ensure compliance with regulated prices of essential goods through regular inspections.
