RFNS Timo replaces RFNS Puamau

Minister for Home Affairs, Pio Tikoduadua, flew to Australia on Thursday to formally receive the replacement for the now-decommissioned $18 million Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Navy Ship, RFNS Puamau.
The RFNS Puamau ran aground on Fulaga Reef, Lau, during its routine voyage on June 10, just a month after the Australian government donated the vessel to Fiji.
The new Guardian-class patrol boat, named RFNS Timo is the newest replacement.
