Just five months after the RFNS Puamau ran aground in the Fulaga Passage, its replacement, the RFNS Timo, has sustained damages following a docking incident on Thursday while berthing at the Walu Bay Navy Pier.
Sailors of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Naval Division were bringing in the ship from Australia.
RFNS Timo was another gift from the Australian government to replace the recently decommissioned $18million RFNS Puamau that hit a reef in the Fulaga waters in Lau in June this year.
