RKS Celebrates 100 Years Anniversary
RKS, named after the great-grandson of Ratu Cakobau, Ratu Penaia Kadavulevu, has a rich history which the community is celebrating with pride.

Hundreds of former students of Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) gathered at Albert Park yesterday to commemorate the school’s 100th anniversary.
Chief guest Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka said the celebrations highlighted the significant impact the school has had since its establishment in 1924.
He praised RKS for its century-long history and its role in producing influential figures who have contributed to the nation’s growth and development. The weeklong event will feature various activities and sports competitions.

The celebration will began on Sunday with a church service at the Centenary Church in Suva.
Programme
Today, they will host a programme called “Training and Investment Opportunity” from 5.30pm to 11pm at the Suva Civic Centre where old scholars struggling to find employment can attend various ministry sessions for empowerment and guidance.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) is Wellness and Sports Day at Albert Park at 3pm. Feature for the afternoon is competition between the two neighbouring all boys’ boarding schools RKS and Queen Victoria School.
Thursday, will start with a traditional ceremony, providing a learning experience for current students about traditional culture, where the Vunivalu na Tui Kaba, Ratu Epenisa Cakobau, will be chief guest.
After lunch, is the school pass-out parade with the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Commander, Ro Jone Kalouniwai, as the chief guest.
Meanwhile, Mr Rabuka has urged the school community and parents to join forces with Government in the fight against drug abuse.
“It’s my sincere hope that RKS will continue to be a beacon of hope and contribute positively to our country in the years to come,’ he said.
