Road Damage In Nalotawa, Ba As NDMO Continues To Monitor Rainy Weather

Remedial road works will be carried out on the Nalotawa Road in Ba after reports of damage due to the heavy down­pour of rain within the last week.

Remedial road works will be carried out on the Nalotawa Road in Ba after reports of damage due to the heavy down­pour of rain within the last week.

Director of the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO), Vasiti Soko on Friday said that her office and the Divisional Commissioners West have been alerted to the dam­age, particularly the dangers of slipping.

“In light of the adverse weather currently affecting parts of the West, as usual practice, the NDMO, alongside the Divisional Commis­sioners are monitoring the situa­tion and will scale up our efforts should the need arise,” she said.

“So far the only report of damage we have received is the Nalotawa Road in Ba which is in danger of slipping.”
