Road Words On MacGregor Road, Suva To Begin From 8.30PM Tonight

Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) will be commencing rehabilitation works on MacGregor Road in Suva from 8.30pm tonight (Tuesday, 17 th December), weather permitting.

Works will begin daily from 8.30pm to 5am and 9.30am to 4pm for one week.

The works will target to reconstruct the worst pavement section of MacGregor Road from Bau Street roundabout to Denison Street junction.

As a consequence, the road will be temporarily reduced to a single lane and detour routes will also be provided.

Full traffic management will be present on site to guide motorists safely through the site.

These works are necessary as the section is severely deteriorated and can no longer be maintained through pothole repairs, hence the need for an urgent long-term rehabilitation work.

This is the first of many roads in Suva that will undergo the same treatment over the next 12 months

Minor traffic delays are expected and members of the public are requested to strictly adhere to the traffic management signage in place to ensure the safety of other motorists and workmen alike.
