The Rotaract Club of Lautoka and Nadi will rope in young, aspiring and future leaders who will make a difference in the country.
The clubs were engaged in a workshop at the Vuda Marina in Lautoka last Saturday where more than 20 new members were present.
Lautoka Rotaract president Melissa Natawake said the goal of the workshop was “to provide new and potential Rotaract members with an introduction to Rotaract’s culture, with a focus on leadership, community projects, and the diversity equity and inclusion taskforce”.

She said it was all put together by herself and the Rotaract Multidistrict Information Organisations (MDIO), chair Becky Giblin.
“Our Pacific volunteers are amazing storytellers, and they surely touched at the heartstrings when they talked about their Rotaract moments, the moment they realised this was an organisation they belonged to and that it could help them make a difference,” she said.
She also said members toured the iconic Uto ni Yalo Vaka, where Skipper Angelo Smith educated them and encouraged them to learn to sail on traditional boats.
“It was amazing to see new leaders emerge, speaking enthusiastically about their ambitions to lead Rotaract in the future.”
Ms Giblin was grateful that the workshop was a success.
There are three Rotaract Clubs in Fiji located in Lautoka, Nadi and Suva and to date there are 10,698 Rotaract clubs in the world in 180 countries with 203,298 members.
