Rotuma Hospital Nears Completion

The Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete confirmed that the Rotuma Hospital is nearing completion.
Dr Waqainabete made the comment to the Fiji Sun after touring the Navosa Hospital construction site with Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama on Tuesday.
He said there was hope that the Rotuma Hospital and Navosa Hospital would be completed by next year or so.

Dr Waqainabete said the Navosa Hospital looked promising and so far the first phase of works had almost been completed.
“We are told that it should be ready by the end of the year, there are other things that we need to get ready, obviously it needs to have equipment that is already in the provisions of the budget, the Government has made,” he said.
“The Rotuma Hospital is nearing completion so we have got the Rotuma Hospital, we have got the Navosa Hospital and hopefully we come to an end within next year or so.”
He added there would be a great opportunity for the people of Navosa to benefit from the Hospital when it opens. Edited by Susana Tuilau
