International leaders of the Salvation Army, General Lyndon and Commissioner Bronwyn Buckingham will be in the country for next few days to celebrate The Salvation Army’s existence in Fiji.

It was an opportune time for the delegation to inform the Head of State, President Wiliame Katonivere, on the work undertaken by The Salvation Army in Fiji and abroad.

It was 50 years ago, a handful of missionaries from the Salvation Army New Zealand Chapter began their work in Fiji.

It grew to what it is today, a beacon of hope and has helped many families and individuals around the country.

They have built safe homes and provided social services in major centres in Fiji, not forgetting youth intervention.

To celebrate this momentous achievement, the church is having series events leading up to main events this weekend at the Vodafone Arena.
