Mr Saukuru took his oath before President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu at State House in Suva today.
Jese Saukuru has been sworn in again as Minister for Youth and Sports, marking his return to Cabinet months after his ministerial appointment was revoked by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.

His reappointment comes after he was removed from his ministerial role earlier this year following allegations of abuse of office relating to the Fiji Sports Council.

On March 6, Prime Minister Rabuka announced Mr Saukuru’s termination as Minister for Youth and Sports, saying the decision was made after internal consultations within Government and the People’s Alliance Party.
Despite his removal from Cabinet, Mr Saukuru remained a Member of Parliament for the People’s Alliance.
