Police confirm a female tourist from Norwegian Star cruise allegedly died snorkeling in Savusavu this week.

A female tourist from the Norwegian Star cruise liner allegedly died while snorkeling in the waters of Savusavu earlier this week. Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed this today.
The cruise liner was in Savusavu for a day’s visit. The victim and her friend had disembarked from the ship to snorkel when the incident occurred.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
