Sayed-Khaiyum Resigns Due to Medical Reasons
The resignation is effective immediately.

The former Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has submitted his resignation as Fiji First's General Secretary.
This was confirmed through the party’s Facebook page posting the resignation letter addressed to the party's leader and former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.
In the letter, Mr Sayed-Khaiyum highlighted that due to recent series of medical procedures undergone in Singapore with more to follow in the coming week, he would not be able to attend to daily commitments required of the General Secretary.

The resignation is effective immediately.
He ensures that the incoming Acting General Secretary of General Secretary will be able to fulfill all the requirements and responsibilities of the position.
Following the resignation, Faiyaz Koya has been appointed as Acting General Secretary.
