“This message is not legitimate and should be treated as a scam,” the Authority said.
The public is urged not to click, reply, or engage with the message, and to exercise caution when receiving unsolicited texts requesting payments. Suspicious texts should be verified directly with LTA through its official channels.
The Authority confirmed the matter will be reported to the Fiji Police Force Cyber Crime Unit for investigation.
“Protecting the safety and security of our customers remains a priority. If you receive any suspicious messages claiming to be from LTA, report them immediately to the authorities,” LTA said in its statement.
