Fiji Police urges parents and guardians to be vigilant of their children's whereabouts

The Fiji Police Force has clarified that a search conducted at a Member of Parliament's residence in Samabula on Thursday night was part of an investigation to locate a document.

Police said the search was carried out at the home of a Member of Parliament following the arrest of a suspect earlier in Wainadoi.

The suspect, who is related to a family member at the residence, was present during the search, Police said.

Police confirmed the operation was a routine investigative process aimed at retrieving a document relevant to a case.

“No drugs were found during the search, contrary to speculation,” Police said.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
