Search continues for former Fiji Pearls coach; post-mortem for companion today

A post-mortem examination will be conducted today on the body of a 34-year-old woman recovered from the Navuso River, as the search continues for former Fiji Pearls coach Unaisi Rokoura, who remains missing.

Police said divers from the Police Mobile Force and the Fiji Navy are continuing search efforts in the area where Rokoura disappeared on Saturday morning.

The two women, Rokoura and her companion, were collecting freshwater mussels near the Navuso Agriculture School when they were swept away by strong currents.

The companion’s body was later recovered, while Rokoura remains missing.
