Search continues for three missing at sea off Covuli reef in Lautoka

One survivor swam to safety while the boat owner was found near the reef; search teams remain hopeful as operations continue.

Search operations are ongoing this morning for three missing persons, including a child, in waters off Covuli Reef in Saweni, Lautoka.

The Latuoka WATERPOL team, together with family members of the victims, are leading the search efforts.

In a police report, police confirmed that the missing individuals were among five people traveling in a fiberglass boat that capsized near the reef last Sunday night.

One of the passengers managed to swim safely to shore, while the 66-year-old boat owner was later found floating near the reef.
