Vaccination is the key for the reopening of the Hotel industry and the nation.

Chef Owner of Kanu Gastropub Lance Seeto said this after he received his first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine on Monday at the Namaka Public School in Nadi.

Mr Seeto urged the public not to believe any intimidating stories and myths about vaccination.

“I am here to dispel all these myths and stories. Please stop listening to it and come and get vaccinated.

“Please do not fear! The medical staff has advised us that we may have some side effects, which are normal signs that our body is building protection.

“These side effects may affect our ability to do daily activities, but they should go away in a few days.

“We can’t open our hotel industry or restaurants without the majority of people, especially the workers, being vaccinated.

“As a country we have to do this now and that was also a plan around the world. I encourage everyone to get vaccinated because this is the key to Fiji reopening,” Mr Seeto added.

Namaka Public, Togo Primary School and Nawai Secondary were the COVID-19 vaccination venues in Nadi.
