Naividamu villagers in Macuata Province have rebuilt 26 homes destroyed by Tropical Cyclone Yasa back in 2020.

Naividamu villagers in Macuata Province have rebuilt 26 homes destroyed by Tropical Cyclone Yasa back in 2020.
Memories of the ravaging winds uprooting most homes in the village during TC Yasa, still lingers in their memories.
However, there was renewed hope with the visit of the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka to their shores during his Northern Division Tour.

The village is home to Canberra Raiders player, Semi Valemi.
Village headman and district rep, Semi Qamese, said all 26 homes were flattened to the ground and families were severely affected.
Mr Qamese said this accounted for majority of homes in the village.
