Sevens rugby legend, Waisale Serevi, continues to make his nation proud.
This time it was not on the rugby field, but with officers from the Sigatoka Police Station conducting awareness to Sigatoka communities on the health and safety measures to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
The former 7s maestro, together with the Police team, led by the Officer in Charge of Sigatoka Policing District (OCPD/Sigatoka) Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Harish Prasad, conducted awareness campaign at the Sigatoka Bus Stand, Sigatoka Market, Yavulo, Nayawa, Nasama, Vunavutu and at Cuvu Village.

ASP Prasad said while a number of his officers were also rugby stars, having the 7s rugby legend join them in their work was the icing on the cake.
He said it was a lifetime opportunity having Mr Serevi join them in their line of work.
“Most of my officers are well known rugby players and they were marvelled at the opportunity of being joined by the Sevens King in their daily routine work,” he said.
The Fiji Police Force acknowledged Mr Serevi for taking time to join the officers in Sigatoka to create awareness on the deadly virus.
