Sharma’s Respect For Doctors Inspires
However, he emphasized that he did not let those things stop him from achieving his dream job.

Commitment to the cause came to fruition for 24-year-old Nehaal Sharma on Wednesday.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the Fiji National University’s College of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences at the Vodafone Arena.
Mr Sharma said his aim in life had always been to be a doctor.

“I’ve always wanted to be a doctor, there was never a Plan B,”Mr Sharma said.
“I have a lot of respect for doctors and the work that they do in serving the needs of the people.”
He said what further ignited his passion was that he had an uncle who was an anesthetist at Aspen in Lautoka.
“I got a chance to work with him this year while I was doing my internship there,”
“Seeing him at work was a really good experience. He’s a senior doctor so I learned a lot seeing him organise his work and manage the patients.”
He pointed out however that his journey to success did not come without a price.
“I enrolled in the program in 2018 so it’s been quite a while, there have been a lot of ups and downs,”
“In the first year it was all exciting but then we realized just how difficult the job of a doctor was.
“Their work requires a lot of sacrifice, hard work and long hours.”
However, he emphasized that he did not let those things stop him from achieving his dream job.
“Once you’ve set your mind on something, keep at it. Even if you fail at times, do not give up.
