Sheemal Nadan First Housing Authority On-Site Female Engineer

Housing Authority’s first on-site female en­gineer, Sheemal Na­dan is grateful to the previous government for fulfilling her dreams through the Tertiary Education Loans Scheme.

The 27-year-old from Koronu­bu, Ba said her decision to pursue a career in Civil Engi­neering began at Form Three when she developed a love for Technical Drawing at Xavier College.

As she progressed through secondary school, she stud­ied Technical Drawing (TD), Chemistry and Physics as her subject combination.

Born into a humble family of sugarcane and vegetable farm­ers, Ms Nadan said she knew too well that her dream to be an engineer would not have been made possible without funding from TELS.
