Sheron Prasad defied all odds and was crowned the 2019 Vodafone Tebara Carnival Queen in Nausori last night.
Ms Prasad, 20, said she did not expect to win the crown, but was honoured by the win.
“When my name was called out I was so shocked.

“I did not expect this at all, however I am very grateful for this opportunity,” she said.
She thanked her family, friends and sponsor Hilite Aluminium for their never ending support.
“It has been a hectic week and without the support of my loved ones and sponsor, I would not have been able to achieve what I have achieved tonight,” she said.
