Shocking Scenes At Port Mua-i-Walu In Suva

Port Mua-i-Walu in Walu Bay, Suva, last night was a hive of activities as hundreds of Fijians, including children, congregated at the wharf waiting to board a Goundar Shipping Services vessel, the Lomaiviti Princess I. The vessel is understood to be travelling to Kadavu.

Amid the COVID-19 health restrictions to prevent the spread of the virus, this photo clearly reflects that Fijians continue to ignore the social distancing safety protocol and breach the gathering of more than 20 people at one location.

Fiji now has five confirmed COVID-19 cases.
