Siblings Reunion for Eid celebration

Eid celebrations will be very special for Majid Shahzad and his family as he will mark the special day with his brother from Pakistan.
This family reunion has been long overdue as the siblings has been wanting to spend Eid together.
Mr Shahzad said it has been many years since the siblings got together to celebrate Eid.

“Having them here adds an extra layer of joy and nostalgia to our celebrations as we can observe Eid together, which we haven’t been able to do for many years,” Mr Shahzad said.
“Eid is incredibly important for me and my family as it represents not only the culmination of a month-long spiritual journey but also an opportunity to strengthen familial bonds and create cherished memories together.
“It’s a day filled with happiness, reflection, and acts of charity.”
Eid, known as Eid ul-Fitr, is one of the most significant religious holidays in Islam.
It marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, and is a day of joy, gratitude, and celebration for Muslims worldwide.
It’s a time for families and communities to come together, express gratitude for blessings, seek forgiveness, and share love and compassion with others.
Mr Shahzad said leading up to Eid, some important changes had to be made in the family.
This included accommodating the preferences and traditions of both sides of the family.
“We had to coordinate schedules, plan meals that cater to everyone’s tastes, and ensure that everyone felt included and valued in the festivities.
“This year, our family has planned various activities for Eid, including attending special prayers at the mosque, preparing a lavish feast with traditional Pakistani and Fijian dishes, exchanging gifts with loved ones, and spending quality time together sharing stories and laughter.”
He said Eid is not just a day of celebration but also a reminder of the importance of gratitude, compassion, and community.
“Let’s use this day as an opportunity to strengthen our bonds with family and friends, to forgive past grievances, and to spread kindness and generosity to all those around us.
