After leaving school for a year, Theresa Ah Sing, never imagined she would be named school dux one day.
She was named dux of Nabua Secondary School last Friday during the school prizegiving ceremony.
It’s an award she spoke with disbelief because there was a lot of competition in her class.

Her short absence from school was one that grew her inner patience and motivated her to do her best.
Theresa left school for about a year because she was diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease (RHD).
