The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) has confirmed that single-lane access is now in effect along Nausori Highland Road in Nadi following an under-slip caused by recent heavy rain.
According to FRA, the damage occurred at the 20.791-kilometre mark near the Mulomulo Mosque, affecting the left side of the carriageway.
As a result, only one lane remains accessible to motorists until further notice, with temporary traffic management measures in place to control traffic flow and ensure public safety.
FRA said its maintenance contractor had been mobilised to the site and would carry out restoration works to stabilise and repair the affected section of the road.
Motorists travelling through the area are urged to exercise caution, follow all traffic management directives and observe speed limits while emergency works continue.
