Single Mother Of Three Paves Path In Automotive Engineering

Adi Akisi Ravoka is determined to pursue further education to achieve her dreams.
The 28-yea r -old from Drauniivi Village in Ra graduated yesterday with a Certificate in Automotive Mechanical Engineering from the Pacific Polytech Campus in Tagitagi, Tavua.
She was among 130 graduates from the technical and vocational institution, marking a significant milestone in her journey.

A mother of three, Ms Ravoka currently works as an attache at the Yaqara Pastoral Company in Tavua.
Reflecting on her achievement, the former Vatukaloko Secondary School student said the qualification was a stepping stone towards a brighter future.
"While growing up, I always wanted to become a teacher, but I faced obstacles and challenges along the way. I did not give up on my dream," she said.
Ms Ravoka believes her education has opened doors of opportunity.
"The skills and knowledge I have gained here will allow me to contribute meaningfully to any workplace.
"I will continue to seek opportunities to further my studies in this programme.
"I envision myself teaching automotive engineering at an institution like this and making a real impact on my future students."
Overcoming adversity
Ms Ravoka shared the struggles she faced, from balancing work and family responsibilities to managing financial constraints.
"Managing my time with children, work, and studies was challenging. Sometimes I missed classes because of financial difficulties, but I never gave up," she said.
She credited her success to her faith, her grandmother, and her three children.
"I thank God and dedicate this achievement to my grandmother and my children.
"To all single mothers, my message is: do not let your current circumstances define your future," she said with conviction
"There is a bright future ahead for you and your children. Never give up on your dreams."
