SODELPA Names 3 Heads Of Mission

The Social Democratic Lib­eral Party (SODELPA) trio, Jovilisi Suwainakama, Ro Ilisoni Vuidreketi and William To­ganivalu are expected to be named as Fiji’s representatives to over­seas missions.

This was confirmed by Deputy Prime Minister and SODELPA leader Viliame Gavoka during the party’s management board meet­ing at the Southern Cross Hotel on Friday.

He said the names were approved by Government following the se­lection process observed for other heads of missions.

“All the appointments would be subject to the approval of the host country,” Mr Gavoka said.

“In this case, honourable Suwain­akama’s appointment will be sub­ject to the approval from the British government and honourable Vuid­reketi will be subjected under the American government’s approval. Mr Toganivalu’s appointment will also go through a process.”

Mr Gavoka said there were other key issues discussed at the board meeting, all of which were met with enthusiasm and positivity.

“The managing board and the SODELPA body are happy that we managed to confirm this and see that part of the coalition came into fulfilment,” he said.

“This meeting is going to help the coalition get stronger and help Gov­ernment provide the leadership it is required of in the country.”
