Two political parties in the coalition Government have 30 days to submit its list of sources of funds to the Fijian Elections Office (FEO).

Two political parties in the coalition Government have 30 days to submit its list of sources of funds to the Fijian Elections Office (FEO).

The 30-day period ends on May 29. Acting Supervisor of Elections Ana Mataiciwa said the two political parties were the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) and The People's Alliance (PA).

She said according to section 23(4) of the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, Funding & Disclosures) Act, 2013, a party that fails to submit its 'Sources of Funds' was liable to a penalty of $100 for each day the non-compliance continues and if it remained non-compliant after 30 days, the party must be deregistered.
