Speaker Welcomes New 55 MPs

Speaker of Parliament, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, was pleased to see young Fijians making it to the august house.
He made the comment at the induction programme for the 55 newly elected members of Parliament, this morning.
“It pleases me to convey a very special welcome to all elected members who will be entering parliament for the first time,” he said.

“I am certain that the whole country is looking forward to your continuing service in politics.”
He said the Secretary General and the team in Parliament were ready to assist and guide the new members.
Meanwhile, Parliament will seat at a later date.
