Specialist To Open Wine School In Fiji

More locals are expected to earn their stripes as wine connoisseurs, in efforts to strengthen international food and beverages sector.

Behind such efforts is locally-owned distributor, Lawhill Wines Fiji.

Specialist and business development manager, Kelley Schaefer, said the company prioritized education as a step to market growth.

Lawhill Limited operates two main divisions of beverages.

Fiji Coffee roasts imported and local Fiji green beans.

Lawhill Wines, an imports wines, mineral water, fruit juices and champagne from Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, and the USA.

Indulge is the retail operator for Lawhill products, with 10 shops around the country.

“I learn about all wines in Fiji and work with different suppliers,” Mr Schaefer said.

“But this supplier has a lot of growing and educating.

“One of our focuses is education in wine."
