Heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours around the country saw many low-lying areas inundated with flash flooding, leaving many families and travellers stranded.
This was the scene past Galoa bridge in Serua yesterday.
The weather office in Nadi has issued a flash flood warning for flood prone areas, small stream and low-lying areaso f the central-easternd ivision, from Navua to Qauia, Rewa and Korovou River, Labasa and Qawa river: Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Northern Division and eastern parts of Viti Levu.
