Gospel Primary School observed Easter on Wednesday with a special programme featuring drama, skits and speeches, highlighting messages of love and redemption.

Kindergarten teacher Emali Lalabalavu, who prepared her young students for their performance with just one week of practice, shared a powerful Easter message during the event.

“I believe that the Easter message is that Jesus loves us all,” Ms Lalabalavu said.

“Whether we are red, yellow, black or white, he loves us all. And he died for each and every one of us,” she said.

The kindergarten students performed a short drama depicting Jesus entering Jerusalem, with students playing various roles, including Jesus, a donkey, and Roman guards, bringing the biblical story to life.

They also participated in an action song about Jesus rising from death on the third day.

“It wasn’t hard to prepare them, because most of them come from Christian backgrounds.

“So they had knowledge about it,” she added.

School headteacher Jope Ravolaca stressed the significance of Easter during his speech, calling it “the most powerful moment in history.”

“Because things that have happened in this day and the next three days, it has never happened before, it will never happen again,” Mr Ravolaca said.

“Jesus died for us and he came back to life. And that is something that is amazing to all human beings.”

The Easter weekend officially begins today and ends Monday, April 21.
