Successful Tsunami Drill Exercise Pleases Ditoka

In an effort to strengthen disas­ter risk reduction communica­tion and coordination, a live tsunami drill exercise was con­ducted in Savusavu on Thursday.

The National Disaster Manage­ment Office (NDMO) conducted this in partnership with the Savusavu Market Vendors Association as part of the World Meteorological Day (WMD) celebration.

During the live exercise, more than 50 vendors were evacuated from the market and taken to a safe spot at Natuvu Park in Savusavu.
