Mohammed Anees Khan has confirmed that rate arrears owed to the Lautoka City Council (LCC) amounted to $7,155,975.
The council chief executive officer said there was a 22.75 per cent reduction in city rate arrears compared to the $9 million owed in the same period last year.
“Percentage-wise some 49.68 per cent of ratepayers have paid up as at the financial year with 12.66 per cent of arrears left,” he said.
