Sugarcane Group Provide Food For Frontliners
The Lautoka Cane Producers Association provided meals for our frontliners at the Nadi Hospital and at Police stations and checkpoints along Nadi and Sigatoka.

The Lautoka Cane Producers Association provided meals for our frontliners at the Nadi Hospital and at Police stations and checkpoints along Nadi and Sigatoka.
The association members said the gesture was a show of solidarity for the sacrifices made by the frontliner’s during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Association president Tazim Ali Khan said: “The frontliners have sacrificed day and night to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Police officers and the medical team are doing a great job.
“They are working hard day and night. We have recognised their effort and we are pleased to provide them with lunch.”
He also acknowledged the Government for being diligent in its response to the pandemic.
To date, only four cases remain active with the remaining 14 having recovered.
Mr Khan said they started delivering food to Police stations, to the office of District Officers and also to medical teams in hospitals.
“We also deliver at the district officer’s offices and the medical team in the hospitals. We started on Thursday in Lautoka.”
Nadi Community Policing Sergeant Ben Vukivou thanked the association for coming up with the initiative.
