Tabuya Reaffirms Support for Rabuka
Ms Tabuya, who is one of the People’s Alliance Party’s top polling politicians in the 2022 election, reaffirmed her support for Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.

Government backbencher Lynda Tabuya revealed on Thursday that she had been urged to leave the Coalition Government and lead her own political party.
Speaking in Parliament during the debate on the President’s Address, Ms Tabuya said she remained committed to the Government.
“In the past two months, I have had people urge me to leave the Coalition Government,” Ms Tabuya said.

“Some have suggested I join another party and some have even asked me to lead a party,” she told Parliament.
Ms Tabuya, who is one of the People’s Alliance Party’s top polling politicians in the 2022 election, reaffirmed her support for Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
“Yes, there is frustration with the pace of change. Yes, we must move faster.
“But let us not forget what Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has already achieved,” she said.
Ms Tabuya praised Mr Rabuka for freeing Fiji from “16 years of dictatorship” and creating a more inclusive government that now includes former Opposition members.
“We cannot undo 16 years of governance in just two years,” she said.
