Taufa family farewells granny for Lakeba Xmas
It has been two years since Ms Taufa visited her home island

As this masthead took to the Suva Wharf to find Christmas stories, we could never miss the Taufa family who were the jolliest family among the many awaiting their travel to Lakeba.
It was actually their 70-year-old grandmother, Temalesi Taufa and her grandson, Temo Taufa that was travelling to Lakeba for Christmas.
It has been two years since Ms Taufa visited her home island and the excitement and anticipation were felt among the crowd on Thursday afternoon as she became the life of the party, constantly keeping everyone around laughing.

Her daughter, Ana Taufa seeing the smile on her mother’s face said she never wanted to come back to Suva.
“My father passed away so it’s just her children and her grandchildren now that’s by her side,” Ms Taufa said.
“She’s spending Christmas in the island and we’re going to see her again next year.
“At the moment she’s so excited that she doesn’t want to come back.”
The Taufa took a picture- perfect family photo yesterday as they farewelled Ms Temalesi and Temo on Monday.
“We wish everyone a very happy Christmas and blissful New Year,” the Taufa family wished.
