Taxi Break-In As Family Slept
Police are investigating the report.

The break-in into a taxi at Adams Street in Lautoka on Tuesday has got owner, Peni Moceidreke very worried.
Mr Moceidreke and his family were asleep at around 10.30pm on Tuesday when his taxi was broken into. It is still unknown whether the alleged incident involved one person or a group of people.
Mr Moceidreke who has been a taxi driver for the past two years says it is sad that people are so desperate for quick cash and resort to robbing other people’s hard earned money.

His wallet which contained a $5 note and his personal cards including a charging port for the vehicle was stolen.
“It was not until the morning when my son came down to bring the garbage before going to school. When he reached the bottom, he saw that the glass for the driver’s side was broken. The glass pieces were lying around the car and inside,” he said.
“We found a small brick in the car and luckily my earnings from that night I took it up with me, I usually leave it in the car.”
He assumed the thief had trespassed into the area after coming from the Lautoka Golf Course side which many people use as a shortcut to reach their destination.
“This is the second time someone has stolen from my home. The first time was six months ago, my training equipment went missing,” he added.
Police are investigating the report.
