Seven Queen Contestants will vie for the 2019 Tebara Carnival crown towards the end of the month.

With the theme “Working towards building a Safe and Secure environment for all”, the Senior co-ordinator for the Vodafone Tebara Carnival Sangeeta Kumar said the preparations so far had been very good and “the contestants are genuinely committed”.

The carnival will run from May 25 to June 1.

Ms Kumar said there were a lot of surprises in the pipeline and “you have to be there to see it for yourself”.

She added that the organisers expected a bigger crowd compared to last year.

As the head Queens co-ordinator, she said the contestants were polishing up on their presentation before the carnival started.

“The Tebara Carnival committee is committed to present a better festival for the 2019 event,” Ms Kumar said.
