TELS Repayment On Hold

The repayment of Tertiary Education Loans Scheme (TELS) for local students have been deferred until further notice.

Fiji Revenue and Customs Services chief executive officer, Mark Dixon in a public notice posted on its page said for TELS recipients, who are overseas, they are still required to continue with their repayment of loans.

Mr Dixon said this followed the announcement made by the Government to hold the TELS. Employers were also advised to cease TELS deduction from their repayment due to the deferment.

The public notice was signed on February 24, 2023.
