Fiji is in a crisis.

A termite crisis, to be exact.

Assistant Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Sakiusa Tubuna said Fiji was under attack from an unlikely enemy - referring to the infestation of termites in the country.

The termite’s taskforce meeting was held on Friday.

He said Fiji was under attack from an unlikely enemy that was both stealthy and ruthless with its attack.

“This enemy has caused millions of dollars in damages impacting many Fijian families and business. I am talking about the termite infestation that has plagued Fijians in the Western and Northern regions for far too long now,” Mr Tubuna said.
