Outgoing Australian Ambassador to Fiji, John Feakes, has thanked the Fijian people for their resilience and hospitality during his term in Fiji.

Outgoing Australian Am­bassador to Fiji, John Feakes, has thanked the Fijian people for their resil­ience and hospitality during his term in Fiji.

While delivering his farewell remarks on Thursday night, High Commissioner Feakes de­scribed his five-year tenure in Fiji as one of the most memora­ble and greatest achievements in his diplomatic career.

His farewell reception was held at his residence in Suva.

Prime Minister, Voreqe Baini­marama, attended the farewell reception cocktail for the outgo­ing Australian High Commis­sioner to Fiji.

The head of Government was joined by Chief Justice, Kamal Kumar, Speaker of Parliament, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, Attor­ney-General and Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khai­yum, cabinet ministers, mem­bers of the diplomatic corps, and senior civil servants.
